Der Autor
Chris Rowthorn was born in England and grew up in the USA. After graduating from college, he worked a variety of jobs before quitting Generation X to become an ex-pat. He moved to Japan in 1992 and worked as an English teacher before becoming a regional correspondent for The Japan Times. Chris is the main author of Lonely Planet's Japan and Kyoto. He presently splits his time between Japan and the United States and travels whenever possible in Asia.
